FLOOF Collage pARTy! is a studio in my home, attached to my garage, where I invite the public in to make collage art, sculpture, mobiles, treasure boxes, wall hangings, or basically anything they desire to make under my guidance. The walls of FLOOF Collage pARTy! are lined with plastic bins of materials of every imaginable color: feathers, beads, string, yarn, ribbon, paper, cardboard bits, magazine cutouts, corks, buttons, marbles – you name it; I probably have it. There are glues of all types, canvas, paper of all sizes, containers, boxes and walking sticks waiting to be embellished. My hot glue gun is at the ready, along with markers, colored pencils, acrylic paints, charcoal, and watercolors. The oak table is surrounded by ten colorful chairs. While waiting for ideas to pop into your head, you can be stimulated by music of your choice and some healthy snacks.

My studio is located in NE Ithaca, and I can be reached at 607-279-3512.

  1. Hi Corinne,

We met a while back at a CSA event – my husband, Kevin, and I run Stone Soup Supper Club, a local CSK in Ithaca (and live around the corner from you on Winthrop Drive!) I remember you saying that your husband once thought of starting a soup business called Send Out Soup, or SOS, but that the start up was too overwhelming to actually make it happen.

Stone Soup has been a wonderful micro-business for us (we have over 150 members!) but as I return to full time teaching this upcoming fall, and my husband has his regular work as well, we are looking for someone who might want to take over our CSK and keep it going for our members. (It is not yet a business that can fully support a family of four with young children with health insurance needs!) I immediately thought of your husband – all the start up work has been done!

If he might be interested in talking with us, simply to explore the idea a bit, please pass along this message and my contact information. Thanks very much!

    • Mary Beth,

I’m sorry that I did not see your message before this.
We just had a new grandbaby a couple of days ago, and we are traveling quite a lot between now and mid-October, so I don’t think it will be possible for us to take over your CSA.

Have you had any other interested parties?

I want to personally invite you to visit FLOOF Collage pARTy! during Art Trail First Saturday this weekend. I’m open Saturday from 10-3 and any other day by appointment, by calling 257-6418.

      Best,

      Corinne

  2. Greetings Connie-
My name is Jaekah and I have a very artistic 14 year old girl and am looking for a place she could come spend some time making art or perhaps learning some techniques. She makes art every single day and I want to support her passion and I’m having trouble keeping up with her supply needs! Floof seams more geared toward children but I thought I’d check in (I got your name from Emily Millen) as a potential place where my daughter may be able to get some of her creativity out! please contact me at your earliest convenience šŸ™‚

    Best,
    Jaekah

  3. Hi Corrine, I’m trying to contact you to see if you’re interested in teaching an Enrichment class at Belle sherman Elementary school for our Winter Session? I emailed you a sample of our last flyer, so you could see the classes offered for K-1st grade…as well as seeing the types of descriptions we include. Please contact me if you’d like to offer a class. Instructors usually start at $400 per class. And the K-1 classes have a parent volunteer to help! I’m pulling the Winter flyer together in the next couple of weeks, so I’m hoping one of my messages reaches you! thanks , Wendy email: wfk1@cornell.edu
